Marine engine M2.13 series

The updated series of M-line marine diesel engines is impressive. With new features, a modern look and additional benefits, the new M-line has been developed to meet current and future market demands.

This engine comes complete with:

– Tmc 40 gearbox

– Dashboard

– intermediate cable

– flexible engine mounts

NEW FEATURES
One of the most eye-catching parts is the water-cooled top cover. Several new, innovative features have been incorporated into this top hood. This hood has a water-cooled element that absorbs the radiant heat from the engine. This results in a significant temperature reduction in the engine compartment of up to 15°C – a reduction of 20%! In addition, the solid aluminum top cover significantly reduces engine noise. In combination with the new air filter, the tests show that the noise level has been reduced by approximately 5 dB(A) and at a cruising speed of approximately 2200 rpm the engine is “whisper quiet”. Finally, but certainly not least, the water-cooled top cover is designed so that it can be stood on, which makes work around the engine easier.

We have also been able to provide the M-line with other new features that have been developed to simplify installation, maintenance and ease of use:

  • Service parts such as fuses and relays (see A in figure), diesel filter and fuel connections (B), impeller (C), oil dipstick (D) and the oil filter (E) are easily accessible. On the M4 engines, the impeller is located at the front, making it even easier to reach.
  • The wiring harness has been modified to simplify connection and increase safety.
  • All M-line engines are equipped with an electric fuel pump (F), switched via the ignition switch.
  • The new air filter creates a quiet airflow and reduces intake noise (G).
  • The heat exchanger has been improved in 26 points, including the use of particularly high-quality materials and surface treatments.
  • The plastic protective cover on the front improves safety and appearance. All pulleys and V-belts are shielded, meaning the engines comply with the EC Machinery Directive.
  • As an option, the oil and fuel filter can be mounted at the front, making maintenance even easier (H).

SOME THINGS NEVER CHANGE
All the new benefits have of course been implemented without compromising the existing features. With a range from 12 to 42 hp (9 – 31 kW), the VETUS M-line is preferred by many boat builders. Customers can count on the highest level of service when they choose a VETUS marine diesel, together with high quality, honest and professional advice. When you have a VETUS marine diesel, you benefit from the following benefits:

  • Super quiet, smooth-running and economical engines for optimal comfort.
  • High power/torque for rock-solid and strong engines.
  • All engines are equipped with an automatic fuel vent for convenience should you unexpectedly run out of fuel.
  • All VETUS marine diesel engines comply with the European ISO 8178-1 and Russian RRR standard. A number also meet the BSOII emission standards.
  • High alternator power, specially developed for marine applications, which quickly recharges your batteries. An additional second alternator is available as an option for the M4 engines.
  • A number of engines are available as “powerpack” or hydraulic propulsion.
  • All M-line engines are also available with sail drive.
  • In addition, models M3.29 to M4.55 are also available with SOLAS approval.
