Parts for Volvo Penta MD engines
The Volvo Penta MD name covers many different engines produced over several generations. This includes older models such as the MD1, MD2, MD3, MD5, MD6, MD7, MD11 and MD17, as well as the later MD2010, MD2020, MD2030 and MD2040.
These engines do not form one interchangeable parts family. A filter, impeller or gasket that fits one MD model may not fit another, even when the engines look similar.

For regular maintenance, you may need:

Check the complete MD model
Always check the identification plate before ordering. The complete designation may include an extra letter, such as MD7A, MD11C, MD17D, MD2020B or MD2030C. These letters can matter when selecting parts.
Compare the Volvo Penta reference number with the number on the old part whenever possible. Also check whether your engine is connected to a reverse gearbox or saildrive when ordering transmission-related parts.
