Servicing your 3GM or 3GM30
Common maintenance parts include oil and fuel filters, seawater-pump impellers, drive belts, anodes, gaskets and seals. We also stock thermostats, pumps, engine mounts, fuel-system components and other parts for larger repairs.
Where available, you can choose between genuine Yanmar parts and good-quality aftermarket alternatives. Complete service kits are also available when you want the main maintenance parts together.
Cooling-system parts
Some 3GM engines are directly cooled by seawater, while versions carrying the “F” designation use a freshwater-cooling system with a heat exchanger. This affects components such as thermostats, pumps, hoses and cooling-system gaskets.
Check the impeller regularly and investigate restricted seawater flow before it causes overheating or more serious engine damage.
Check your complete engine model
The range includes different versions, such as the 3GM, 3GMF, 3GM30 and 3GM30F. Not every part is interchangeable between these engines.
Before ordering, check the complete model designation and compare the original part number where possible. If you’re unsure, send us the engine model, serial number and a photo or number from the old part. We’ll help you identify the correct part.
