The Volvo Penta Pencil Anode Magnesium Ø26 x 37 mm (823661) is designed to deliver maximum galvanic corrosion protection for marine engine components operating in freshwater environments . Manufactured from high-quality magnesium and fitted with a brass plug , this anode offers the highest electrochemical activity, ensuring superior protection of cooling systems and internal metal components. Magnesium anodes are the preferred choice for low-conductivity water such as lakes and rivers, where zinc or aluminium anodes may be less effective. Precision machining ensures accurate fitment, reliable electrical contact, and secure installation via the 1″ GAS (BSPP) thread . This anode is suitable as a direct replacement for compatible Volvo Penta systems. Material Magnesium anode element Brass plug Part Number 823661 Thread 1″ GAS (BSPP) Dimensions Diameter (Ø): 26.0 mm Length (L): 37.0 mm Core diameter (C): 19.0 mm Key Features Magnesium pencil anode for freshwater corrosion protection Highest electrochemical activity for maximum effectiveness Sacrificial anode protects internal marine engine components Brass plug ensures secure installation and conductivity Precision-manufactured for correct fit in Volvo Penta applications Regular inspection and timely replacement of magnesium pencil anodes is essential to maintain effective corrosion protection and prevent damage to internal marine engine components.
