Oil filters
The oil filter keeps dirt, combustion residue and small metal particles out of the engine’s lubrication system. It should normally be replaced every time the engine oil is changed.
Here you will find oil filters for
Volvo Penta,
Yanmar, Vetus, Nanni, Perkins, Bukh, Solé and other engines. We offer genuine filters as well as good aftermarket alternatives.
Finding the correct oil filter
Oil filters that look almost identical can have different threads, dimensions, sealing rings or internal specifications. Choosing a filter only by its appearance can therefore lead to the wrong part.
Before ordering, check:
- The complete engine model
- The part number on the old filter
- The engine serial number when required
- Any replacement number shown on the product page
The number is usually printed on the outside of the filter. If it is no longer readable, search using the exact engine model instead.
Some filters fit several engines, while others are only suitable for a particular version. Always compare the engine applications and reference numbers on the product page before ordering.
Replacing the oil and filter
Follow the oil-change interval and oil specification given by the engine manufacturer. When removing the old filter, make sure its sealing ring has not remained stuck to the filter housing.
Clean the sealing surface before fitting the new filter. After starting the engine, check the oil level and inspect the filter for leaks.
For a larger service, you may also need a fuel filter, air filter, impeller or complete
service kit.
If you cannot identify the correct oil filter, send us the engine model, serial number and the number from the old filter. A clear photo can also help us check it.
