What do you need for an engine service?
The parts needed depend on the engine and its service schedule. For a regular service, you may need an
oil filter,
fuel filter, air filter, impeller and drive belt. Depending on the service interval, you may also need anodes, a thermostat, coolant or transmission oil.
Our
service kits are useful when you want several commonly replaced parts together. Always check the contents before ordering. One kit may include only the oil filter, fuel filter and impeller, while another may also contain seals, an air filter, anodes or other items.
Parts are available for Volvo Penta, Yanmar, Vetus, Nanni, Solé, Perkins, Bukh and other brands. For many applications, you can choose between genuine parts and good aftermarket alternatives.
Check what fits your engine
Engines from the same series can use different filters, belts or
impellers. Parts may also have changed during production, so the model name alone is not always enough to confirm compatibility.
Before ordering, check the complete model and serial number on the identification plate. Compare the number on the old part with the references shown on the product page whenever possible. This is particularly important for filters, thermostats, belts and impellers that may look similar but have different specifications.
Preparing for a service
Before starting, check which oils and fluids are required and how much is needed. Also inspect hoses, clamps, electrical connections and the cooling system while access is clear.
A worn
V-belt, damaged impeller or blocked filter can cause problems even when the other service parts are still in good condition. Replacing worn items during scheduled maintenance is usually easier than dealing with a failure later.
If you cannot find the correct part, send us the engine model, serial number and the number from the old part. A clear photo can also help us identify what you need.
